Artists Help Japan ---Earthquake & Tsunami 2011

On March 11, an 8.9 earthquake struck off the northeast coast of Japan near the city of Sendai. It is the most powerful earthquake they ever experienced. Artists Help Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Fund is responding to the immediate needs of survivors as well as short-term to long-term recovery projects undertaken by the affected communities.

Grassroots Event #3 ----The Relief by the Pint, San Francisco

I"m not sure if this can be called a grassroots event but the SF based media company Viz Media is hosting a happy hour fund raising event, The Relief By The Pint tomorrow in San Francisco. 10% of its proceeds will be donated to Artists Help Japan Fund with Gve2Asia!

VIZ Media is famous for importing Japanese Manga and Anime to the U.S. They will have lots of goodies at the event as well as raffle ticket prize being the new iPad! It will be a fun event!
