Mercy Corps is Joining Artists Help Japan!

We are proud to announce that we are adding another U.S. NPO that can effectively use our donation to help devastating situation in Japan.

While we are still strong supporters of Give2Asia, we wanted to add another NPO to give a choice to our donors.  With extensive research talking with our friends in non-profit community in Japan, we came to realize that this Japanese NPO Peace Winds Japan has a great reputation managing the situation very effectively.   As you may have listened to NPR last friday morning, the situation in Japan requires special attention and you really want to find a fund that's working with effective Japanese NPOs.

And the US. NPO working in partnership with Peace Winds Japan is Mercy Corps.  Mercy Corps is highly regarded and large non profit as you can see their efficiency rating on Charity Navigator.

People asked us why we are not donating to large places like Red Cross.  Many large corporations and big name celebrities are always donating to large places like Red Cross.
We have nothing against Red Cross or other large places.  Aside from the very high fees, well funded non profit can do lots of great things.

But we also believe there are NPOs that are very effective despite their size.  To us, having partnerships with good local Japanese NPOs is essential.

So now with Mercy Corps, we have a choice of two to help.
We are proud to have both Mercy Corps and Give2Asia to help us bring artist communities together!

P.S. For European donors, we are about to set up funds there as well.  Stay tuned!
