Who else is following this grassroots movement??
On March 11, an 8.9 earthquake struck off the northeast coast of Japan near the city of Sendai. It is the most powerful earthquake they ever experienced. Artists Help Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Fund is responding to the immediate needs of survivors as well as short-term to long-term recovery projects undertaken by the affected communities.

Many artists and collectors in the doll community are coming together to raise funds for Japan. I myself have created a raffle and plan to donate all money to AHJ. http://parfae.wordpress.com/2011/03/16/raffle-for-japan Thank you for creating this fund!
ReplyDeleteI have a very grassroots fundraising effort on my blog. For $15 donated to the Red Cross, I provide the donor an artcard, called "Japan bunny" that I make especially for them. So far, we've raised $115 USD. More information is on my blog at: http://drawingonnature.blogspot.com/2011/03/japan-bunnies-theyre-everywhere.html. I know it's a small effort but I feel it's something that I can do to help.
