Speaking of....

I just shared about my grassroots fund raising method in the previous entry, and now, New York based science fiction illustrator Bruce Jensen did his own version selling 5 of his original paintings for $100 and donated $500 to Artists Help Japan Fund.  I'm speechless...

Who else is following this grassroots movement??

  1. Many artists and collectors in the doll community are coming together to raise funds for Japan. I myself have created a raffle and plan to donate all money to AHJ. http://parfae.wordpress.com/2011/03/16/raffle-for-japan Thank you for creating this fund!

  2. I have a very grassroots fundraising effort on my blog. For $15 donated to the Red Cross, I provide the donor an artcard, called "Japan bunny" that I make especially for them. So far, we've raised $115 USD. More information is on my blog at: http://drawingonnature.blogspot.com/2011/03/japan-bunnies-theyre-everywhere.html. I know it's a small effort but I feel it's something that I can do to help.
